Summary

	This event took place during the Taris Resettlement Initiative Taris Resettlement Initiative Event Cold War (3653BBY - 3642BBY) on the planet Taris Taris Planet . A joint team of the Taris Expeditionary Force Taris Expeditionary Forces (Republic Army) Organization Galactic Republic (GGW, CW and GW) and the Jedi Order Jedi Order Organization Galaxy-Wide Organizations set out on a research expedition into the Reclamation Zone around the Olaris spaceport. The expedition were taking pollution readings in the ruins on the old Municipal Utility District when they found the medical holocrons. Jedi Master Jedi Master Miscellaneous Ranks Tykan Cin Tykan (Kaleesh) Character Minor Characters (TOR) decided to get them back to the base right away for a study, and taking a small group of researchers with him, set off on a journey back. Shortly after they left, the expedition were ambushed by Death's Claw Death's Claw Organization Planetary and Sector pirates Pirate Organization Communities . The pirates killed everyone, although Sergeant Sergeant Miscellaneous Ranks Valoy Valoy (Human) Character Minor Characters (TOR) , one of the guardsmen, managed to warn Captain Captain Miscellaneous Ranks Nelex Nelex (Human) Character Minor Characters (TOR) about the attack before he was killed. One of the expedition's survey droids, T8-C3 T8-C3 (REP-A01 Astromech Droid) Character Droids , also escaped destruction, but suffered severe power loss and was unable to move. On their way to the base, Tykan, who was under the control of the Dark Plague, lured the group into a trapfall and set fire to the pollution in the swamp, claiming that he was punishing them for allowing Taris to be destroyed centuries ago Destruction of Taris Event Jedi Civil War . Tykan left, leaving the expedition to die. Doctor Doctor Miscellaneous Ranks Edaine Edaine (Human) Character Minor Characters (TOR) tried to save two assistants - Frej Frej (Human) Character Minor Characters (TOR) and Defte Defte (Zabrak) Character Minor Characters (TOR) - who were trapped under a collapsed beam, but was unsuccessful. When Barsen'thor Barsen'thor Character Major Characters and Fess Qyzen Fess (Trandoshan) Character Supporting Characters - who were after Master Tykan, found them The Expedition Event Cold War (3653BBY - 3642BBY) , they rescued everyone they could, but the holocrons were lost in the fire. Edaine was furious that the Jedi chose to save a few lives instead of preserving valuable technology that could have saved millions. Meanwhile, Tykan reached the Junction, an old purification facility retrofitted by the Republic to process poisonous gases, and began preparing for the next attack.
